Medicare is usually offered once a person arrives at the age of 65- or younger if that person is on disability. It's the federal health insurance program that is broken up into several parts and has many different rules and regulations that one must be aware of. There are 4 basic parts:
Part A: Hospital Insurance - covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care.
Part B: Medical Insurance - covers certain doctors' services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services.
Part C: Medicare Advantage Plans - Part A and Part B are offered through private companies that contract with Medicare.
Part D: Prescription Drug Coverage
There are also supplemental plans available to accentuate the Medicare program and is offered to most people that have Medicare parts A and B. Meet our Medicare Specialist, Mike McCurry

Michael McCurry is a known 24+ years Medicare/Medicaid Distribution Professional, and a known commodity in the Medicare space. Mr. McCurry’s career started at Foundation Health Systems as a Medicaid sales representative. From there he was hired by Blue Cross of CA, as a Medicare Field Sales Representative, and gained field experience. As a Medicare Field Sale Rep., Mr. McCurry learned the art of the “kitchen table” sale as well as cultivating relationships to yield additional sales opportunities. After numerous sales awards and years of field experience, Mr. McCurry was promoted to District Sales Manager for Anthem Blue Cross, and eventually to Director of Field Sales and Marketing for Anthem Blue Cross. Mr. McCurry was responsible for all distribution channels, for Anthem Medicare Sales in California, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Illinois. After a successful career at Anthem, Mr. McCurry took a position at UnitedHealthcare, to be closer to his family in California. At UHC, Mr. McCurry held 3 roles the first being Manager of Agent Development and Education and the last being Sales Director. After 20 years’ experience in corporate roles, Mr. McCurry made a pivotal decision to become a Medicare Consultant and train, and develop independent agents within the burgeoning Medicare population, with the baby boomers coming of age. Mr. McCurry has experience in Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Product Development, and developing high achieving sales teams in the Medicare Space.
